Ingredients
a 24 cm diameter cake baking tray
- 4 eggs at room temperature
- 1 1/2 cup sugar (300 g)
- A pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of oil
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 cups flour (280 g)
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup quality cocoa powder
Let's do it!
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 370 f degrees.
Whisk together the eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract till you reach a Fluffy airy mixture.
Add the oil and water while slowly stirring
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and cocoa. Add to the eggs and stir until the mixture is uniformly free of chunks.
Transfer to a greased 24 or 26cm pan and bake for about 40 minutes,
For topping melt half a cup of sweet heavy cream with a 200 gr of dark chocolate
Pour on the prepared cake and sprinkle with colored candies.
