Ingredients
- 350 grams of lean minced meat or minced chicken
- 1/2 cup fresh chopped parsley
- 1/2 cup freshly chopped coriander
- 1 small chopped onion
- 7 crushed garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons of bread crumbs or Panko
- 1 small chopped hot pepper
Tomato sauce ingredients:
- 1 can of crushed tomatoes (796 ml)
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 3 fresh basil leaves
- 1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup pepper
1/4 teaspoon sugar
3 tablespoons olive oil
Boiled water
Pasta ingredients
- 1 pack of Dry pasta
- 1/2 cup boiled water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Follow the preparation instructions on the pasta box
I also add pesto sauce on the cooked pasta (you may find the recipe for the pesto under Sauce, dips category.)
Let's do it!
Preparing tomato sauce:
In a saucepan, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil, add sweet paprika cut to small cubes and stir for a minute.
Add the garlic, continue stirring, then add crushed tomatoes and sugar
add the rest of the spices.
Stir for 3 minutes, add 1/2 cup of boiled water. Continue to cook for another 10 minutes in medium heat with a lid while mixing every few minutes.
Preparing the Meatballs
In a bowl, put all the ingredients for the meatballs, Minced meat, spices, cilantro, egg, parsley, and breadcrumbs and mix with your hands for a uniform mixture.
When it’s all combined, make 2 ” meatballs and put them in the tomato saucepot, cook over medium heat for 15 – 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the pasta as per manufacturer instructions.
I add one tablespoon of homemade pesto sauce on the cooked pasta (you may find the recipe for the pesto under Sauce, dips category.)
Place on a plate the baked pasta and on top add some meatballs with tomato sauce.
