Ingredients
- 2 sheets puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
Filling ingredients:
- 350 gr Ground beef meat
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon hot chili flakes
- 1/2 tablespoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 chopped onion
- 6 crushed garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 1 Grated potato
- 1 slice of wet and crumbly bread.
Let's do it!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Meat fillings
In a bowl place the ground meat with chopped onion, crushed garlic, grated potato, chopped parsley, wet and crumbly bread,
Add the spices cumin, paprika, hot chili flakes, black pepper, and salt
2 tablespoons oil. Mix well
Refrigerator for half an hour.
Heat a frying pan with 1/2 cup of oil
Make small balls from the meat and shape it to an oval-shaped.
Place in the pan over medium-high heat fry it 2 minutes each side.
On a lightly floured surface, unfold one of the puff pastry sheets.
Use a rolling pin to roll out the sheet to a rectangle.
Cut out circles using a rim of a glass or round cookie cutter
Add a tablespoon of meat filling into each circle
Fold one end of the circle into the other creating an empanada shape
Seal the ends of the Bourekas
Place Bourekas in a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat
Brush the tops with the egg wash and sprinkle in the sesame seeds
Bake for approximately 15-17 minutes or until tops are browned and shiny
